Overstay in Germany by 5 years, in India since last 3 and a half years, want to go to USA after wedding?

I want to know, if i overstayed in Germany by five years, paid fine while leaving Germany, I am in India since last 3 and a half years, now if i wish to go to USA on a dependant visa sponsored by my finace (Indian), who is a studying there, or after he gets a job.... will there be a big problem, my old passport is lost, wd US embassy know about my overstay, will they question,,,... Please reply.....i really appreciate responses to my las question... Thanks
